Take a look to see what you can expect from our treatment and how to best support others as they participate.
-
Our sessions are delivered on a HIPAA compliant platform and are greatly engaging for children and adults alike! Our combined 7.5 years of delivering services online have given us a wealth of tools so that our clients experience high quality care and success in their communication.
-
Our treatment plans are customized for the individual we are serving. Sessions will often run from 30-45 minutes. However, the duration and frequency of sessions are determined by the client/caregiver and SLP to optimize gains. Treatment is accompanied by a home program to support growth and carryover outside of the therapy setting.

A device connected to a stable, high speed internet connection. Though phones and tablets can certainly be used, desktops or laptops often provide better visuals for the client, and in return, may increase engagement. Headphones, particularly noise canceling, can often improve attention and are encouraged if they are available and appropriate for the client.
-
As a parent, guardian or caregiver, you want for the client to be as successful as possible. It may be difficult to resist helping the client when they are struggling, but we will certainly let you know if we need some extra support. We are highly sensitive and aim for the client to have a positive experience in therapy, which may sometimes include working through challenges to build confidence. Please make sure the client has been made aware the session is approaching and that they’re not being pulled from a preferred activity to attend.
-
We ask that the environment is quiet and minimally distracting. For example, cut the television off, clear the workspace so that there aren’t tempting things to play with, and ask others in the home to congregate in a different space than where the client is. Sometimes, we may ask you to gather materials that the client uses at home so that they can engage with them during our sessions.
-
The client may participate with the most ease if they have eaten, have had adequate sleep, are in a comfortable environment and haven’t been recently woken or pulled from a preferred activity.
-
We believe in meeting our clients where they are that day. Even though we come in with a plan, our sessions are generally client led. We are accustomed to making changes and modifications to our expectations for the session as they are needed. Not everyone can participate in a structured session, and not everyone will. It is our job to embed speech and language exposure and practice into any conversation and activity that occurs, planned or not.
